Culture Forum North Symposium

5 December 2018, 10.30 – 16.00, Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.

Culture Forum North symposia welcome those interested in cultural/Higher Education partnership to share ideas, learn about what others are up to and make exciting new connections. Informal conversation, presentations from leaders in the field and dynamic discussion groups with peers from diverse arts and heritage organisations, universities and sector bodies from across the North, make for lively events that explore our potential to work together to build a more resilient cultural sector.

This year’s symposium explores how culture/HE partnership can be a catalyst for change in developing the Diverse cultural workforce fundamental to our future.

Research, policy-makers and funders are clear that the arts and culture need a more Diverse, entrepreneurial and work-ready workforce. This event discusses how university/cultural sector partnerships can ensure we collectively thrive.

Keynote speakers to be announced shortly.

Delegates are invited to initiate the conversation through five-minute presentations and open-space discussion groups.

Do you have a case-study or a question you would like to present and discuss?

You may have research on the theme or an example of how you’re increasing diversity through partnership.  You may have a question you would like to explore, or ideas on how we can collaborate to create new models of excellence.

Please let us know the theme of your proposed five-minute presentation and discussion group by emailing Lesley Patrick lesley@dareyou.org.uk
